Quick Note on Choosing Happiness

Today I share with you a quote I have posted on my vision board. I love sharing and spreading positivity, I also want to point out that it is a choice. I choose to focus on good and the potential for that good. There are times when I feel like a huge hypocrite and a phony because everyday on Instagram I post about positivity but everyday I experience fear and negativity. Sometimes I think I will never be consistently happy and anxiety free, why am I even trying to live my highest potential. But instead of running with those thoughts I remind myself that life is a process and it’s ok to have bad days and phases or unwanted feelings. It’s ok to feel those unwanted feelings and move through them while not operating by them.

It’s true we’re working against negative programming from the past, upbringing, and life and culture in general. It’s also true that we’re working with all the light and power and possibility of the Universe. Focusing on the positive requires more focused effort because of conditioning and momentum, but it’s still there when you are ready to do what it takes to change your focus and be happy. Learn a new way of being if you’re not enjoying life and don’t give up if the change is slow moving. Be kind and gentle to yourself in the process and don’t be afraid to talk about it, reach out for support, try for your passion.
